Our client, a leading engineering consulting firm, specializing in municipal and civil engineering projects, is seeking a Site Inspectors for their office East of Toronto.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Post – Secondary Civil Engineering diploma
- Minimum of 2 years municipal inspection experience
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of municipal services construction
Duties:
- Liaises with municipal inspectors
- Conduct site meetings and prepare reports
- Inspects the grading and installation of sewers, watermains, roads and curbs by contractors in accordance with contract specifications.
- Provides feedback to design section of variances to engineering drawings
- May recommend work stoppage if contractors are not in compliance with contract
- Coordinates layout by survey section, coordinates utilities installation and arranges soils testing and inspection
- Keeps as built records and provides progress reports as required
- Performs related duties and tasks as assigned or required.
