Qualifications
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AT A PLANT MANAGEMENT LEVEL FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE PARTS MANUFACTURER – IDEALLY A STAMPING ENVIRONMENT BUT NOT MANDATORY
- Extensive automotive industry experience (5+ years), including managerial roles (5-10 years), with expertise in tooling and familiarity with Toyota TPM, Honda Lean Manufacturing System, and/or Six Sigma methodologies
- Proficient in systematic problem-solving methods such as the 8D and 5P approaches.
- Advanced computer software skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
We are currently assisting our client to fill the below position for our client, a leader in consumer-packaged goods.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the maintenance team with daily troubleshooting and repair of electrical, control, and communication systems in a 24×7 production environment.
Systems include PLC systems including AB PLC5s, SLC500s, and Logix families (Micro, Compact, Control)
AB PanelView HMI and Wonderware SCADA systems
Various communication protocols including fiber optic and ethernet systems
480V electrical systems, including coordinated AC and DC drive systems
120VAC and 24VDC control systems with industrial field devices
Leading and contributing to continuous improvement projects to help the plant achieve its safety, quality, service, and cost goals.
Support the capital improvement plan by planning, completing, and/or approving project deliverables.
The position will be tasked with working with and training other members of the maintenance team, driving root cause analysis, and improving technical documentation.
Qualifications:
Technical degree in a field related to automation and controls engineering from an accredited university.
Experience in a controls engineering function within a manufacturing environment
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and associated software
Experience troubleshooting control, communication, and electrical hardware systems
Familiarity with electrical schematics and wiring diagrams in the Autodesk ecosystem
Preferred, but not required
Experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley drives, especially coordinated drive systems
Experience with Parker Eurotherm drives is a plus
Experience working on capital project team
Experience with project management is a plus

- 5 + years of strong knowledge and experience working in plastic manufacturing, extrusion, equipment design, process development and polymer science.

POSITIONS SUMMARY:
The licensed millwright will be responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance of all plant machinery. This plant runs 24/7 and is a continuous process environment. It is in the heavy industrial sector the company provides materials used in a variety of industries
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect, install, repair, replace, adjust all mechanical equipment in the plant.
- Receive instructions, prints or work orders, covering scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspection work to be done.
- Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
- Advise when immediate shut down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.
- Assemble or align gears, bearings and shafts, involving press, sliding and running fits, align pumps, motors, turbines and gear reducers.
- Responsible for performing assigned maintenance work on large and small producing units.
- Operate power driven mobile equipment and ordinary crane hooking.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Mechanic/Millwright – 433A) as recognized by the Ontario College of Trades
- Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, with exposure to PM, Hydraulics, VF drives, PLC’s welding, crane work.

YOUR WORK
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic controls and systems, using required knowledge and understanding of mechanics, fluidic, and electrical systems/components, as well as how they operate.
- Perform rounds and check machinery to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.
- Exercise judgement when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLC, electrical drives, and all high-voltage systems at or below 480 volts.
- Inspect and perform daily maintenance on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, PLC networks, and cranes, and repairs or replaces worn items as required.
- Service the electrical aspect of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems as needed.
- Lay out, install, and maintain a variety of complete electronically controlled equipment, such as rolling mill loop controls, secondary distribution centers, programmable sequences, and pulpit control panel.
- Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage.
- Work with maintenance and production as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule, days, nights, and two weekends a month.
- Hold a valid Electricians License.
- 3 plus years of heavy industrial electrical maintenance experience including preventative and routine maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- PLC troubleshooting experience.
- High voltage power, control, and drive experience.
