DESCRIPTION

One of our leading clients in the electronics industry is seeking the following

POSITION: Junior Buyer

LOCATION: Markham, ON

SALARY: $44,000 with full benefits, 2 weeks’ vacation and a 5% bonus

STATUS: Full-time, Permanent

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1 year of purchasing experience in EMS or similar industry.
• CPP, PMAC, APICS certifications considered an asset.
• Bilingual with Spanish
• Must be comfortable with travel to Mexico.
• Strong Excel, Office, analytical, and negotiation skills.

OVERVIEW:

• Manage procurement activities, including negotiation, planning, and maintaining supply reliability through the MRP/ERP system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing with production, engineering, and quality requirements.
• Monitor inventory, supplier performance, and delivery schedules to meet customer and production deadlines.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data, reports, and compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
