Job Summary & Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in earth science, environmental engineering, environmental sciences, and/or related field preferred.
- Experience in environmental management, specifically in the automotive industry.
- Must have strong working knowledge of the following: Environmental laws & regulations.
- Environmental & waste management techniques.
- Hazardous material disposal & regulation.
- Recognize hazardous materials & potential health and safety risks.
- XRF (x-ray testing equipment).
- Develop & implement environmental strategies & action plans to ensure sustainable development.
- Coordinate procedures for pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation & renewal energy.
- Audit, analyze & report environmental performance.
- Conduct impact assessments to identify, assess, & reduce the Organization’s environmental risks.
- Promote and raise awareness of the impact of emerging environmental issues, whether legislated or best practices, on corporate, ethical and social responsibility.
