POSITION: Health & Safety Manager
DURATION: Full-Time Permanent
LOCATION: Grand Forks, BC – relocation assistance provided if already living in BC only
SALARY: $95,000-$105,000
SHIFT: Days
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of relevant provincial legislation in British Columbia.
- Experience in a similar industrial manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience of H&S, Environmental Compliance and Sustainability
- Strong people management and strategic, problem-solving skills.
Overview:
- Spearheading the safety culture engagement program to enhance organizational safety practices
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, ISO standards, and Group Mandatory Minimum Requirements through effective utilization and regular updating of the SHE Management System
- Managing relationships with regulatory bodies as a key point of contact while driving sustainability initiatives such as environmental management and reduction in CO2 emissions, energy consumption, waste generation, and water usage
- Analyzing SHE data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, staying updated on research and legislation, and providing professional SHE advice while overseeing and developing the SHE team
